You know a bass has something to offer whenever you see it sporting a cream-colored DiMarzio P pickup! There's a lot more than just that, though. For you old-timers out there this bass has an S.D. Curlee vibe only it's a lot more playable. That's a 5-piece solid maple & walnut body and a bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fretboard and 22 frets. The neck is straight and it's a 34" scale with 1 5/8" nut width. It's substantial without feeling 'clubby' so if you like a 70's P-Bass then you will feel right at home on this one. Just a passive volume & tone are all the DiMarzio pickup needs to perform. The 3-point bridge is a nod to Gibson basses of the same period. Very good condition overall with a few plugged strap button hole probably from the previous owner's Timothy Leary phase. Made in Japan and I wouldn't be surprised if this is a Matsumoku product. Weighs a tad less than 9 1/2 lbs and what were you expecting from solid maple! Still pretty comfy and comes in a gig bag but if I have a case to fit it, I'll ship it in that instead (no promises).
